At Strathmore Physical Therapy, there are a variety of ways to access funding for our services. Please see the options below. Should none of these appear appropriate for your situation, please feel free to call our office for clarification and assistance.
Assessment with Treatment $110.00
Follow Up Treatment $80.00
The above prices are inclusive of any modalities such as Kinesio taping or acupuncture if appropriate for your injury. Please allow one hour for your visit.
We are able to direct bill the majority of private health insurance companies. Please call the clinic to see if your extended health benefits company is on our list.
We do not require a physician's referral to assess and treat your injury, but your insurance company may require one for you to access your benefits.
As a contracted WCB provider, we are able to direct bill for your treatment. Your initial assessment and first treatment will always be covered. Thereafter, ongoing and subsequent treatments are determined by your individual condition.
It is important to report your injury as soon as possible to your employer and your doctor. However, it is not necessary for you to receive a referral to book an appointment, as our physiotherapists are able to initiate the claim process.
For additional information, such as online forms, please click the link below for the WCB website.
If you have recently been involved in a motor vehicle collision (MVC), it is important to report this to your insurance provider, who will initiate a claim. A physician's referral is not necessary before booking an appointment, but we do encourage you to seek medical advice if you have more serious concerns.
Following your initial assessment, your physiotherapist will advise you if your treatment will be classed as "inside" or "outside" of protocols.
These are pre-authorised treatment visits, which must be completed within 90 days of the date of your collision and are automatically covered by your insurance provider. This would cover injuries such as whiplash, soft tissue, sprain or strains.
If your injury is more severe, beyond 90 days of the date of collision or out of province, your treatment is then covered by your extended health care benefits plan. If this plan does not fully cover the cost or if you do not have any benefits, then your insurance provider will cover the cost of treatment.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak to our administrative staff who are highly knowledgeable and will help guide you through this process.
